Prince William and Catherine Middleton.

Television coverage of the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, live from Buckingham Palace, will begin while most of us are dead asleep.
If you're a night owl, it will be a hoot.
BBC AMERICA will offer live, commercial-free coverage of the royal wedding from 3 to 8:30 a.m. April 29. The day's commentary will feature veteran BBC newsman Huw Edwards.
ABC News' coverage will kick off at 4 a.m. with newswomen Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters anchoring a special broadcast of the ceremony, followed by a live edition of "Good Morning America" from what is sure to be a jolly London town.

Viewers can expect a drum roll of history-making, all-important scenes:
* The royal family including Prince William and Catherine Middleton as they arrive at Westminster Abbey
* The first glimpse of Catherine Middleton's wedding dress
* The wedding ceremony at 11 a.m. UK time or 6 a.m. EST/3 a.m. PST
* The newly married couple on their return journey to Buckingham Palace
* The millions of people and representatives from Britain's armed forces, expected to line the wedding route
* And alas, the traditional moment when Prince William and Princess Catherine join the rest of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace as they greet the crowds and witness the Royal Air Force flyover.
Howard Berman, a rabbi from Boston, told BBC News that he plans to set his alarm early to watch the wedding with a group of friends at his synagogue.
Watching the wedding on television will not be as exciting as standing with the crowds in London craning for a glimpse of the royal procession,  as Berman -- who boasts a collection of more than 2,000 items of royal memorabilia -- did for the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. Still, like many viewers in the United States, he does not want to miss it.
"Americans have had this very idealistic, romantic fascination with what the royal family represents," said Berman, who concedes it might seem unusual for a rabbi to hold such an interest.
"It's a point of identity in a society that transcends politics," he added. "Every leader of our government is a political figure and the idea that there is a national iconic symbol that goes above that is fascinating for us."
Being the social networking times that they are, Sawyer and Walters' coverage will be live-streamed on ABCNews.com, ABC News app for iPad and iPhone, Hulu, Yahoo!, and Facebook. BBC.com will stream the wedding live at www.bbc.com/royalwedding from 5:45 to 8:45 a.m.
That's the day of.

  1. I'm glad the USA is embracing the wedding. I’m really looking forward to the Royal Wedding and have recently bought an official Royal Wedding Coin issues by the Royal Mint. Now is it me or does Harry look like he is scowling? The Daily Mail also picked up on this. Take a look at the picture of it here (I bought it from this site) and let me know what you think:
